Jaden Gabb serves as Coordinator of Strategic Planning and Special Projects for the Albany County Legislative Black Caucus, where he supports community initiatives, civic engagement, and efforts to connect residents with local government. A public servant, community advocate, singer-songwriter, and media creator, he brings experience across government, education, advocacy, and the arts.
Jaden’s commitment to public service began in Far Rockaway, Queens, where he grew up. At 17, he created Project B43 after seeing an opportunity to improve a neglected waterfront area in his neighborhood. Through the project, he helped build picnic benches and plant flowers and shrubs, bringing residents together around a shared vision for the community. That experience sparked his interest in advocacy and showed him the impact people can make when they take action where they live. He later served as a member of New York City Community Board 14 and as a legislative aide to New York State Assemblymember Khaleel Anderson.
Jaden earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a concentration in Public Law and a minor in Business, from the University at Albany. During his time there, he held leadership roles in student life and the performing arts, including serving as vice president of Phenomenal Voices. His honors include two Dr. Seth Spellman, Jr. Academic Achievement Awards, the President’s Award for Leadership, New York State Assembly citations, and the rank of Eagle Scout.
Jaden has appeared on Amazon Prime’s The College Tour and has been featured in Time magazine. Across his work in public service, community advocacy, and creative expression, he is committed to amplifying voices, building opportunity, and helping turn community ideas into action.
